Lovescape or What Have You
To say the sun shines not on thy soft sound
Is cause for guilt within mine eyes, which cow'r.
Earth's Spring may jump with life from sky and ground,
Though life maintained in thee plants shame on flow'rs.
No thought or mind may grip thine own save mine,
For none see light, e'en though through darkness blinds;
See fit my guilt doth ground me for these crimes.
Such times try man to yield those weak in mind.
With shame I say, "My brothers do die there;"
Thoughts of you saved my starkly wounded soul.
Let us take arms, and in the world we share,
From since with love it was my heart you stole.
